I had read this as meaning a letter as in post #2.

Is that not what you meant? If not, what letter did you send?

Correct. Physical letter. I also had contacted Citizens Advice and they sent me similar template to post to them.

I’ve had no response from that as yet.

Not a return issue, but they took money for a watch they said was in stock and allocated to me, then suddenly it wasn’t . They were still advertising it as last one remaining at full price. 2 weeks to get my money back. I wouldn’t deal with them.

I had similar issues ordering a Laco from them. Bog standard spec not some funky custom config, but after the order it suddenly had to go on ‘special order’ from Germany. After just over a month and regular requests for an ETA I was told the factory hadn’t got back to them. I politely asked them to forget it and return my cash. Though it took another month of weekly chasing after that before any refund was issued to my credit card. I wouldn’t buy from them again, totally different experience from dealing with, say, Berrys or Laings.

Then after the period indicated in letter has passed you head to small claims court.
