    Some great deals at Bucherer.

Especially this. They also had a Laureato at 33% off but that's gone

That looks like a great deal! At first I thought it was the bronze / gold one, but 18ct gold actually is a good find indeed

I struggled on an ipad , then just saw a 2 mm bar right at the top of the screen saying sale. They certainly not using the conventional 40% of the screen proclaiming “ Sale” techniques:)

A lovely looking watch and amazing price! Good find! Shame they are out of stock or I would be arguing with myself all day.

I was the same. Which Laureato did you manage to snag?

I didn't get it but they had blue at 35% off in store. Still expensive with the 35% off compared to what you can get them for in the US or pre owned

  22. #22
Ah ok, still a nice deal for someone.

Yep, pretty unpopular watches that you will still take a huge bath on when you come to sell. And sell you will, as none of the half price watches look like keepers to me.

Pretty average sale, with nothing of significant popularity with a 50% reduction.

  24. #24
    Strange comment.

Yes, there were some unpopular/less popular models - that’s why they are available in a sale.

However, there were quite a number of models that could easily have been flipped immediately for a higher price; granted most of those, including a couple of Blancpain divers sold quite quickly, but compared to a lot of other retailers it’s definitely a bloody good sale.

I’d expect some more Omega watches to be sold off at some point, as due to Rolex buying Bucherer Omega has served notice to pull the brand from a number of Bucherer outlets - maybe all will follow…
It's just a matter of time...

Dear lord, you really are an utter mood hoover, aren’t you.

Aside from cheap leccy is there anything you get even the smallest amount of joy from?

I had a look and was surprised by the number not available.

It would be nice if you could filter, so only see what is available :-)

I ordered and paid for a sale watch from Bucherer in past, only to be told not in stock and took a while to get refund.

From my experience, the site could be substantially improved to make it more customer friendly

Had a phone call from Bucherer today; before they dispatched the watch they wanted to let me know that it was not in new condition. Case scratched and strap marked. Order cancelled. Oh well.

I’ve mentioned it before about Bucherer when they reduce prices.

Based on experience of purchasing a pam995 a few years ago. I advise you ask certain questions.

    Is it a full set.
Is it ex display. If so what condition is it in.
And this was my main issue that took nearly year to get sorted. Does the serial number and the paperwork match with the watch.

Yes some great prices, just needs some due diligence.

Customer services manager told me 3 to 5 days before refund hit my account, unacceptable in this day and age, but what can you do? The chap was reasonable enough.

3-5 days sounds reasonable to me for a card refund.

Not sure it's reasonable when debits can appear right away, but pretty standard.

Debits appear right away because of authorizations. The authorization is a courtesy to show you how much you owe in pending transactions and help prevent you from overdrawing the account. It always takes time for the receiver of the payment to get the money - the Merchant gives you the stuff when they get the authorization, but don't get the money for several days. When you get a refund, the flow is reversed.

No one follows it but I’ve always understood taking payment before shipment is against the law. It was a big deal when I worked at Apple years ago.

Upon order your card should be preauthorised in the same way a hotel or car rental company puts a hold on your card. Once the item is about to dispatch (same day is good enough) then the preauthorised funds should be drawn down on by the merchant.

    >95% of retailers don’t adhere to this as they don’t have a backend which can handle the above.

IKEA took my money during covid while a desk was on back order and after two months of waiting I called Amex who refunded me instantly because IKEA shouldn’t have taken the funds in the first place.

Perfectly legal - which causes a range of problems:

Interesting, thank you. Might have been different around 2013 or it was just a neurotic American company.

    In my own experience, dismal.

Sent back a PAM422 that was in the Jan sale 2 years ago and it took umpteen calls and emails to get it resolved and wasn't a smooth process at all. Would hope they are a bit slicker these days.......

Very smooth process I had with Bucherer return, wasn’t what the wife was looking for bucherer sent me a return label, they received next day with confirmation that refund is been initiated, next day refund in my bank
