It was completely overrun with scammers and nothing done to combat it.
It has resurfaced here, but very little traffic: https://535dc5c6be9a-005851.vbulletin.net/
TZUK is the only forum I frequent. Many moons ago, I did the usual Panerai thing - went through lots of references and even more straps. Paneristi was a massive forum with loads of information, whether that be about the watches themselves or strapmakers. In all honesty, I found it a little too big . That said, I have been trying to research a model that a friend owns. I thought Id have a look on Paneristi but, as of last year, its closed down! Does anyone know what happened there?

Shame. Masses of info lost
It looks like the old forum is still accessible through Tapatalk. No new posts for over a year but if the information you are looking for is for a reference from a few years ago it should still be there.
Panerai source website was ok for info but that hasn’t been updated for a long time now.

It would be good to get an updated millimisation table ,but I think there’s too many references now.
What model you looking for .

I was trying to research how much a pig-dial (j series) Pam292 was worth over and above the standard model. Values went crazy when they were first released as only the j series had the pig embossed on the dial. As time has passed, values have eased a lot but how much more than the subsequent series without the detail is hard to determine.
The core team of Paneristi seem to be very much pushing people to try and join the new V-bulletin one, but it has fallen flat. No traffic, no archives and no sales corner.
I can only find 1 for sale and it doesn’t seem any more expensive than others without a pig .

I would be surprised if pig dials hold much desirability outside anyone who owns one.
