After 37 years service I’ve finally got a new belt. There have been others but this one is worn most days.
The old one, left, has moulded to my shape and has a permanent curve.
New one is hand made and lovely quality. Made in England.
With a monogram imprint.

I suspect it was cheaper than a posh leather watch strap?!? - or even a mid range Hirsch?
Indeed, plus made to measure to my specifications for leather and buckle.

I wish my belt was the same length as those I wore 37 years ago :)
I bought what I presume is a fake Levi's belt at a Turkish market 22 years ago. Still going strong. Best £10 I've ever spent.

Partner bought me an oak bark tanned belt from here: https://www.handmadeleatherbelts.co....-leather-belt/
Leather comes from JFJ Baker the only oak bark tannery in the UK.
Its a great looking belt and will only improve with age, comes with a leather key fob/polish/leather balm.
I borrowed this belt from a school mate in 1978. I was 16 and had a 28 waist. My mates dad worked for Philip Morris, and the belt had a lovely Marlboro buckle depicting a cowboy on a horse. The buckle sadly went missing many years ago, but the belt remains and is still in use although my waist is now 32 and Im on the 3rd hole from the end.
