I just found the original series by accident,I cant find out how to watch on demand it is on episode 3 now.
I always thought they had lost the first series before Bob was married and Terry came back from the Army.

There’s plenty of Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads series on You Tube. Most of series 1 and I think all of series 2
The original 60’s comedy - The Likely Lads is not so well represented. Possibly it got destroyed unfortunately.
Both are well worth watching
