    Gen1 X33.

Bought this......bezel was mis-aligned(see pic). Sent to Omega to fix now on its way back & fixed.

    Contemplating brushing the bezel insert.

Do it or don't?........anyone brushed their's?.

Get a Gen 2 or leave it original is my advice. Contrasting finishes are generally considered a good thing!

I did ask Omega why they didnt fit the gen2 crown during the service earlier this year when a previous owner had it serviced.
They said they would not do this as it essentially changes the watch to a design it should not be!.
I have considered the gen2 crown & the bezel too.

Mine is at Omega for a service, will be 5 months before I see it again :(

The gen1 is the best x33 in my opinion, adding a gen2 crown is a good upgrade though. I think the watch gets steadily less interesting over the newer generations.

It should come back looking as mine. Its essentially a new watch.
Out of my collection it is something different so a nice change when worn.

They won't upgrade your crown tho,but if they do please let me know.

As well as that fabulous honey dipper crown and brushed bidirectional bezel with lume pip at 12 rather than the red 'rocket', the Gen.2 features brushed pushers and the 'flight qualified' caseback inscription. The early 1666A module is non-thermocompensated and has a blueish backlight rather than green on the later 1666C thermocompensated module.

Apart from the crown and bezel mine also has a new movement and the brushed pushers.
There was/is a crown on ebay for £70 but tbh having had a think it will be left original.
We wouldn't hesitate to say anything other with for eg a Rolex.
