    VOIP question

I've just switched to fibre broadband and was supplied with a router into which I can plug my analogue phone. But I don't like the new router (firstly because I can only access it via a phone app and secondly because the provider can snoop around my network). But if I switch back to my old router I'll have to use a VOIP adapter; does anyone know if these are easy to configure? I think the bundled VOIP account is from BT.

You could get a cheap Snom voip phone off eBay 305288320249 get a POE injector and plug it into a network port.

I used one for a while.

You'd need the host address or IP, User ID & Password, can you get these from the phone app?

I haven't spotted those details in the app, I'll have a look. The ISP might even provide them if I ask. Thanks.
