Just read some of the trust pilot reviews.....not heard of them before but sounds like another Anthony Farrer character.

All 30 of the disastrous Trustpilot reviews have been within the last 10 days. Ditto the 13 terrible Google review. Either he's suddenly turned to crime, or someone is trying to hurt him.
Very concerning, one of the reasons I try to shy away from SOR, even with well known companies...you just never how businesses can change and how people can turn as a consequence.

Interesting to read some claiming they have reported their watches as "stolen" to police (and perhaps, then, insurers). I would be interested to see what paperwork there is to document their business with MWH, as such claims may not be correct.
In my experience, selling on consignment too often turns into disaster and I would never recommend it. Whatever the truth of this case, there will be other dealers who fall. Don't expose yourself to the chance of it.

Alex Photi tried to bring it up on one of Paul Thorpe’s stream a few weeks ago and was promptly shut down by Thorpey (champion of protecting watch buyers from watch theft and fraud), the topic killed and not mentioned again that evening. Sad scenario for those who watches have vanished and presents a issue for the trade if stolen/not stolen watches are being recirculated - there’s a suggestion that the propiertor is now located in a Middle Eastern state…

Are such reviews blocked because it now has a red banner status on Google saying "Permanently Closed" ?
I've no business with MWH but interested.
Someone appears to have changed the name of the Trustpilot page for www.manchesterwatchbub.com to simply "M Ltd" with "Na" address, while the type of business is now listed as "Horseshoe Smith" : https://www.trustpilot.com/review/ma...m?sort=recency
Anyone any first hand knowledge of what's going on / gone on ?
No idea what's going on, but I've reported it to TrustPilot.

Assuming that the business concerned controls its Trustpilot page, it seems very possible that the MWH owner has done this to try and obscure the association between the reviews and his (former?) business.
If so, not really the action you would expect from a legitimate businessman who had been wronged by a smear campaign.
