    Does the seller influence on what bidders are prepared to pay? If you were selling a watch* and someone offered you over the odds would you say no thanks. I doubt it.

    Give the service and refinish a miss, just ask for a nice shiny new pepsi bezel, sure Rolex would happily oblige and it would tart that up nicely

    I was watching that one live online, didn't get anywhere near estimate... is the collectable market a bit flat at the moment? I assumed at this end of the market there were still no shortage of buyers.
