    Laventure watches

Although they have been around for five years, this is a new micro brand to me. Any thoughts/experiences? The recent use of the chronode c102 movement which Czapek use in some of their watches is interesting…

Website leads to a bunch of sold out watches and the usual "Join the waitlist" or "Sign up" (Erm no thanks) coming in at 8 grand or so when they are available and on first glance look like a Squale kickstarter.

You can probably tell I am not overly impressed.

Went looking at these a few months back when I saw kingflum with one on instagram. Really nice looking watches.

Saw the prices and quickly clicked the X button on the bowser. Wild pricing.

I like the look of these, love what they've done with the movements too, but there's no avoiding the fact it looks like something Spinnaker or Zelos (among countless others...) would make for well under £800, never mind £8,000.

Every model sold out so I assume that, at £8k+, they only made one of each.

So far they have sold out the 200 or so pieces they make each year very quickly. But whether this continues with the higher prices and changed market is another question…

Some very nice design features (bezel, case back etc.) but so does my Gruppo Gamma.

    What else did you consider?

I have registered my interest for an IWC ingenieur but I’m undecided currently.
The Laventure movement was a key point for me but also I really liked the cream dial. As you can see I do like independent watches that have colourful dials…

Movement looks lovely. But the image of the watch head on had me expecting it to be a £1k gnomon type small brand.

The unit cost from Chronode, the movement maker looks to be about 1000CHF, so considerably more than something like an SW200.

I like it a lot but the text around the case back ratio 4:3 text in over vs out over and not aligned with the front case I find very annoying. Why the text isn't all in over I have no idea, then the alignment wouldn't matter.

Hadn't noticed but now I can't unsee it and agree.
