Yet here we are on a forum where people regularly drop multiple thousands on a time piece that can be bettered by a 10 quid quartz, funny old world.

No different to a robo mower.

I prefer a good workout with the Henry myself, but as Chris says, it will sell.

We have a couple of robot vacuums and looked at the Dyson but the price is insane and it’s way too tall. The ones we have clearly aren’t as good but they get under every sofa and bedside cabinet which the Dyson wouldn’t have managed.

Way too tall? It's 1cm taller than a Roomba?

Anyway, yeh, it would work in our home just fine but the price is... ooof.

Or the best part of 3cm based on what you look at height wise.

Almost 30% lower height is pretty significant for the ones I want, if I can convince my wife they make sense.

Ah the one we saw was the old one, very tall. We have three of the Eufy ones and they’re slim and without cameras so happy enough for the cost if you follow pricing on sites like camelcamelcamel.

Just buy them. My wife was sceptical but would now divorce me if I got rid.

You still need something like a Shark/Dyson stick to do corners/edges etc but it saves hours of floor cleaning, especially if you have an old draughty/dusty Victorian house.

Our whole house is hard floors, not a carpet in sight. It is amazing with a daily swiffer just how much dust / hair accumulates from 2 people and a cat.

Will do some research and see where I land on which ones to get.

We now have 8 hoovers including 3 robots and 1 Henry for DIY. You would be think carrying one up the stairs was illegal.

IME the robots are good but they are a snack rather than a main meal re hoovering and just keep the dust at bay. You can go over the same spots again with a real hoover, especially carpet, and more dust/dirt will get sucked up.

The trick with the robots is to get them on a routine and keep the floors clear of obstacles but we haven’t mastered that yet.

So, the Dyson vac can map the layout your house and is connected to your wi-fi network?
    It's a data harvester's dream.

That. Mrs Donkey thought it was a waste of money but she loves it now. Roomba i7.

    Dyson seems mental money.]

Having had a cheap Eufy and upgraded to a more intelligent Roomba it's defiantly worth paying extra to get the models that don't just bounce around....altho they are still better than actually having to use a vacuum yourself.
