Anyone any experience of Meyers Watches ?

I have the opportunity to purchase a Meyers Flyracer Cruise Auto for c€1,000. There is not too much info on the web, anyone here have any experience of this particular watch ? or maker ?

Sorry but they look like overpriced tat- £6k for a steel and gold PVD quartz chrono? And £10k for a 7750. Perhaps I am missing something

I had a quick look at their web site and I think the prices quoted are almost certainly entirely fictional, just to make it appear as though one is getting a bargain by buying at a fraction of the "official" price. Which you wouldn't be, IMO.

Pretty sure I could think of a lot better ways of spending €1k on a watch.

    Hi Ray

As per other responses, I would tend to agree, they look quite cheaply made.

There are lots of established and also newer micro brands.

What are your criteria. Based on the Meyers, I'm guessing you are after -

    1. Divers or sports
    2. Self winding automatic movement
    3. Stainless steel or titanium
    4. Dial colour? Black or other colours?
    5. Watch diameter? 42mm? 45mm?

Give some pointers and there will be lots of suggestions.

    I'd definitely have a look at -

Longines, Hamilton, Certina, Davosa, Steinhart, Aera...... there's loads more. I've posted some images of some of my current collection.

Let us know your wish list, there's way better options and value for money than the Meyers.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the pointers and the photos. Yes to all of above - tool watch, automatic, stainless steel or titanium, no bigger than 42mm, interesting dial.

The case & the sunburst dial on the Meyers looks different.

Ray, have a look at the Certina DS Action titanium. They recently updated it but the previous version had a sunburst dial

Really good quality and value for money!

If I was going to spend around that kind of money and I wanted a striking, colourful and unusual dive watch I’d go for something like this:

    https://farer.com/products/leven

but there are also plenty of much cheaper options in the micro-brand world, especially if you don’t mind a Miyota or Seiko movement rather than Swiss.
