    Dickstar1977 RIP

I can’t see that it has been posted but just sharing the extremely sad news that Tom Dick (Dickstar1977) collapsed and died suddenly while at work on Friday. It was completely out of the blue and a huge shock to everyone.

I know he had many many watch friends here and I considered him a good friend also. We met up and chatted watches and life many times as he lived not far from me.

He was as passionate about watches as anyone I ever met and his Omega knowledge was on another level.

46 is no age and life can be gone in the blink of an eye. Treasure every moment, don’t argue over petty pointless things and spend as much time talking to and seeing your friends, family and loved ones as you can!

    RIP Tom

I am one of the many who have dealt with Tom over the years and he will be a big loss to the watch community.

Wow. Jesus that's knocked me for six, it's not long since I last phoned Tom to chat Omega.

Bloody hell. What an absolute gent, and a credit to the various forums he was a member of with simply unsurpassed Omega knowledge. His Omega parts bin was better than the one in Switzerland as well!! Mid 40s, what a cruel, cruel world.

    Hi

Tom was a personal friend and someone's company I truly enjoyed.

Incredibly driven , clever and with an eye for detail in everything he did....Tom was always destined to be something special.

He was of course a gentleman too !

I missed our f2fchats when he moved away for work and now realise we can never catchup again.

My heart goes out to Esther and the children.

Baden , your post was a very moving & fitting tribute and captured him perfectly - Thank you.

    Tom RIP x

    Best Neil

How sad. I will wear the Speedmaster Mk 2 racing dial that I acquired from him many years ago this week in his memory

Oh no that is very sad news. I didn't know Tom well and if that date in his username is his year of birth that's absolutely no age at all.

RIP Tom and thoughts with his family

That’s shocking to hear, not spoken to Tom for a couple of years but had few deals over the years!

    He was no age.

I just heard the terribly sad news from Tony Coe, the former owner of STS who knew Tom for many years and with whom he became a close family friend.
Condolences to Tom's family and friends.
