    Rolex serial numbers

Apologies if this is on a thread somewhere but i'm getting confused with info online re Rolex serial numbers.
    I particular i'm looking at 1967 (looking for a nice 5513).

Some charts I've seen state the range at 1538 - 1752xxx while others show up in the 2160xxx region.

What would be correct for a 1967 metres first 5513 ?

    Thank you,

    maseman

Hi one I owned years ago was a 1.7 million and my current one is a 1.6 and is 3/4 of 66
main thing is should be a thicker mix of plots that glow .

It’s handy as a rough guide I agree, but it is by no means incontestable.

NO, miltonsdiamonds is NOT my website and NO, "2 million odd" is not 1967 manufacture.

The "confidenziale" Rolex document that I have would suggest 1,486,xxx to 1,707,xxx. That document is most commonly correct, although I have found too many errant, proven examples to accept it unquestioningly.

However, my own database of watches that I have come across (an MSWord document of some 384 pages and 149,059 words at this moment) would in this case very much support a range for 1967 that is consistent with the Rolex document.

I also agree with it regarding 2m case numbers, which we both record as starting in 1969.
