Thread: Tudor annoucement

    Tudor annoucement

Looks like Tudor are releasing something on the 14th, teaser on Instagram. Suggestions in the comments seem to be a blue Pelagos 39/ new north flag or big block.

Hmmm - I’d be interested to see what an updated North Flag would be like (speaking as an owner of the original), the other two I can visualize no problem but not that.

It would be good if the North Flag came back, I always appreciated it’s originality. Would make a change from umpteen Black Bay and Pelagos variations

I’d be surprised if it’s a north flag.

Based on the vintage film type teaser, I’m guessing it’s a heritage reissue.

Maybe an advisor? Seems pretty unlikely too though

North Flag was a poor seller, I doubt this will be the announcement.

Big Block chronograph....S/S as surmised on another thread.

  7. #7
On reflection; And based on ACG’s suggestion on the other thread: Tudor Ranger 37mm, in the BB54 case but with a fixed bezel.

There will be something off about it to ruin the design in some way and to keep sales going for yet another year until they bring out the one people actually want.

I’m guessing something like a bronze case with a green dial. It will look fine. Even quite good. But not quite what many hoping for

email to me from Hugh Rice today.

Great to hear you are enjoying the 54 and I would suggest keeping your eyes peeled on www.tudor.com tomorrow for an opportunity. I truly have no idea what’s coming but I would suggest that if you are interested once the big reveal happens let me know immediately for a chance to secure our first piece!

Tune in on September 14th to discover the latest from TUDOR | TUDOR watch

All this legendary heritage talk has my attention but they always seem to do the wrong thing when the reveal happens. I still haven't forgiven them for the P01!!

It is a dive watch. Someone on the Tudor press team leaked it. Maybe a Sub?

Tudor Sub = 'shut up and take my money'. Shame I don't have much currently :(

If it is a sub that would be unreal. However, it still will not fit correctly.
I doubt it is going to be anything which is called a sub though.

Interesting that it’s a dive watch, I was expecting a Monte Carlo of Big Block.

As ever with Tudor they will find a way to totally ruin it through fit or general obesity but I hope I’m proven wrong.

Agree if recent Tudor is anything to go by they will add one aspect which puts me off in terms of size, design or price

I hope to be wrong :)

Pelagos 39 blue seems likely. Perhaps with vintage style lume from the LHD.

Looking at models on the Tudor Watch heritage web pages which follow the 54 and 58, the next, chronologically, are the submariners from 1959, 1960, 1964 and 1967. I’ll guess the “BB59”, homage to the 7928 “square crown guards” from 1959, based on the fact that the 1960, ‘64 and ‘67 are too modern Rolex Submariner like. Don’t know how it will look with snowflake hands though. But a Pelagos 39 LHD would be nice too.

Edited: just found the 1969 TUDOR OYSTER PRINCE SUBMARINER 7016 which has the snowflakes. BB69?

All the things you mention, are they in relation to and comparing to for example a yawwwwwn Rolex watch?.Tudor are their own brand offering something different to others,so Id never make any comparisons to any other watch.

Choice is great and works fine for the amount of people buying watches.

I kind of hope it isn’t a blue Pelagos 39, one thing I’ve not seen mentioned (or totally missed it) is on the teaser it’s yellow cracked effect? And lots of yellow bits so unless that’s a massive throw of sent

Guys get close to your ADs. Cannot say any more than this without causing grief but at 5.01 pm call them or call them before and say you'd like to be notified and pre allocated a piece.

The watch will go ballistic, the Tudor UK MD has been calling the main branches to get then ready and they are all undergoing training on the watch at 5pm today

I have a mate whose desperate for this to be the case.

Wanted a Rolex Sub or DJ to celebrate his 2nd child - his local ADs said no to ROI.

    Let's hope it's not a blue 39 Pelagos

    It's because "hype".

Madness to think that someone might take some time to decide if they want to buy a watch – and not want to call their AD about a piece that they don't have any information about.

Perhaps it's a RWC 2023 watch? I note refs aren't wearing Tudors at the moment (possibly due to some kind of dispute following a retired ref selling a limited edition watch).

No you were spot on. Ignore me. Just a black FXD!

Could have added that to the website without a launch but no one from marketing would have been able to blow their own trumpet that way
