Any colour but tan or black, please?

I have a Girard Perregaux 'Vintage 1945' with moonphase, large date & a polished black dial in white gold. So far, so good ... it's a lovely watch. But, it's on a tan strap that really doesn't suit it.

On black below it's OK, but ... well, just black. Is there a colour/material that would suit it better, please?

Burgandy will work well and a green will too depending on hue

A very light honey Aligator would be the direction I go in.
    Cheers,

Surprised tan doesn't suit it. For me that would probably be the first choice.

I agree OP the black makes it look too serious - why not give it a go on a light grey nato- that may surprise you.

Why not go the ‘full send’, to coin a mountain biking phrase and wear it on a deep red or blue crocodile strap?
