Worries from some of the larger players in the marketplace today (our own Watches of Switzerland Group shares are down 25% this morning), this move might mark the start of Rolex moving into retail as the new gorilla in the room. Although the Rolex explanation stacks up pretty well to be fair in looking to protect its distribution channels.
