    Easy

One is cheaply made (lume falling out of bezel) and dull, the other one is a feast for the eye while being a little too tall.

Personally I prefer the Pelagos. I like Ti to be matte.

Yeh. I do like the industrial angle of the Pelagos.
Matte black dial, matte Ti, no polishing on bracelet (other than clasp, which is slightly biffed up)

    The GS looks very different.

I love the Seiko but would wear the Tudor as it looks better designed to hide the day to day knocks.

    Pelagos for me
Loved it from the day it was announced and still love it today.
Whilst there is no doubting the quality of the GS it’s a bit fussy for me when compared to the Pelagos.

Pelagos as it looks more tool like. I thought this was going to be an X-33 vs Aerospace battle!

I've always admired both these watches enormously — but it has to be said, the Tudor isn't enjoying being sat next to the GS when pretty photos are being taken. I guess the Tudor would grumble, yeah prettiness, that's scarcely the point, is it? Anyway, I'm just jealous of people having the wrists to accommodate these watches.

While the GS is better finished and more visually interesting, the Tudor is intentionally functional and basic and thus much more likely to get out and about.

    Easy choice for me.

Having said that, I have neither the wrists nor the budget for either.

Hmmm, tough choice. The rugged practicality of the Pelagos v the class of the GS….

    For me, I’ll take class.
    Best Regards - Peter

First great photos of 2 very cool watches, for me the Pelagos just edges it with its cleaner dial and as others have said the mattness on the case finishing give it a real tool watch vibe . I also prefer the Pelegos bezel with the smaller knurled edges of the bezel, almost coin like. Both great and we are splitting hairs.

As a rough and ready - the Tudor. For class though…

GS for me but I do have a thing for them on an 8-1 ownership ratio.
    Good call in the end.

Exactly, which is why the GS is my choice.

Side profile of that GS is probably the best there is, makes other cases look rather basic.

I’m not a huge fan of cathedral hands but it’s still the GS for me, by a country mile. The snowflake hands, square indices, lines of unnecessary text and tall bezel font on the Tudor are all jarring to my eyes.

Great thread, interesting head to head.

For me, the GS is just so comfortable in its own design - it seems to “own it” as they say. Tudor looks like a wannabe by comparison; more like a three than four-figure watch….

If GS made these in 38mm, take my money. I’d chop out my 38mm prospex (awesome thing) in a trice, and never look back for a watch for the water.

For me, if they could make it 40mm - I’ would never wear anything else again.
