CWC Divers - matte, brushed or polished?

A question re the matte, brushed or polished finish on the new CWC divers.

I've had a couple of said watches but I can't remember the differences! I now fancy another (!)
I know there are various configurations of matte top with polished sides, all matte and all polished I think?

I recall reading that some are either brushed or blasted - is this correct and what's the difference? Does a brushed finish show the marks/scratches more or less than a blasted one?

Also with regard to the models with polished sides - Should I find myself all upset that it gets marked are they easily re polished do you know?

    Thanks

    Hello Mate
    Hope you are well?
Where to begin. They have made every combination I think.
Standard is brushed top, polished sides but there were a small number of fully brushed watches with a day and date if I remember correctly, there were a small number of bead blasted cases as well! The reissues are fully polished.

Check out this thread it has every combination going.

I have never see a polished top brushed side case though.
Re brushed vs bead blasted. Both hide marked pretty well, on a bead blasted case you tend to get rub marks and not scratches. Rub marks can’t really be removed as you need to bead blast the case again
Polished surfaces can be touched up using a cape cod cloth or even brasso
Brushed can be touched up with an Emory-cloth / sponge (is that how you spell it) scourer of the right grit. Like a washing up sponge with out the sponge.

    .
All good thanks - Life could be much worse...........!!

Thanks for the reply - the thread that you have linked is useful and is a good read for us CWC nerds! I didn't realise that there have been a fair few options. I am considering approaching CWC for one of their divers (the CWC RN300 AS120 80-81 models) that they did for a few months. I recall you mentioned in a previous thread about how they are quite accommodating. I want to make sure I know what I want before I order!
