I'm not quite sure of your meaning. In today's world sponsorship is an integral part of sports from UCI cycle racing, to football, F1 and MotoGP, to sailing. Alinghi has quite a record in the America's Cup and so I see nothing not to like about this FXD edition as compared to other manufacturer's offering (although I recognise that some have a dislike of Red Bull, probably due to the personalities involved in F1). If this edition offers a touch of red, maybe we can look forward to a KTM Racing edition with a splash of orange?

I really, really like it. But the placement of the red bull text is unpleasant.

A brand new one on eBay now for RRP, looks like he’s sold a few Tudors in the past, surely he’s losing money on this deal now as I can’t imagine being able to get a discount on these in the shop?

Unless he works for a Tudor dealer and gets them at a massive discount so he’s still making money?

    Is that possible?

    Relationship purchases maybe?

    Hmmmm maybe?

Very tempted to buy it but ideally I’d like to try one on in store first and see it up close, shame my local dealer has no idea when they will get one in.

Until the rehaut was pointed out, I thought the same, had not connected the colours to either RB or the chrono I’d seen previously.

I’d hate to have missed that in the shop & only see it when idly wearing it on my wrist. A non RB version, now I’m with you wanting one of those.

This looks like the Panerai equivalent of the FXD Alinghi?

    They lost me with
“the modern heroes of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team are the ultimate embodiment of Panerai’s values”
That’s quite a shift away from Gruppo Gamma and Decima Flottiglia MAS.

Put my name down for the Chrono as I already have an FXD. Still debating though whether I should buy it or not.

Saw one in the Tudor Boutique in Cribbs last week - really impressed with it! In the flesh the text at the tops not to overpowering. This one was for display, but was told they are fairly easy to get (they had sold one the previous day) They also had a standard FXD in the display window for sale (thats on my wrist now!) Told me they are getting around 1 a month of these (more of the Red Bull) The fact that the Red Bull one is £420 cheaper than the original is a bonus as well!

Tried both these on last night and I’m smitten. The chrono is noticeably larger but wears perfectly. Neither were for sale unfortunately but my deposit has been placed.

Had an email from Ernest Jones over night saying they were available to buy. By the time I saw the email they'd gone. The hunt continues!

If the chronograph version was made in SS I'd happily wear it in spite of the text on the rehaut.
A slim 2 register chrono' is always nice to me.

Just had a message from My AD to say they have one if I fancy it.

If only they hadn't messed up with that rehaut branding!

Viewed both at Goldsmiths last night.

Only really interested in the Chrono as I have an FXD.

I didn't like it at all. Case was already slightly marked, snowflake hour hand way too big obscuring subdials which are not recessed. Looked like a big, busy mess imho of course.

I personally think that the case + bezel insert (black), dial and strap (blue), crown + pushers + bezel edge (titanium), dial + hand + strap accents (red) and branding make both of these very messy designs, lacking in coherence.
At least 1 of these colours or finishes should have been discarded.

Jokers, been offered two in the last week. They are very divisive and not that popular.

I wish someone would offer me one. I have a decent spend history with my local AD (Goldsmiths) but they either do not have any or are blanking me!

If you are able to provide contact details for one of the two AD’s who have stock it would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

Try the Tudor Boutique in Cribbs Causeway (Bristol) I brought the original model from them around a month ago (was sitting in the window) They also had the red bull on display, and while deciding on the in stock watch I put my name down for the red bull. They called me early this week to say they had one for me. Turned it down, as prefer the one I have. Was told when I was in there it wasn't a long wait for them.
Their part of WOS (as is Goldsmths) so your spend history will count with them.

    Their number is 01179592198

Finally got a call about the chrono today and it’s arriving Thursday. I know they’ll probably be readily available in the near future, but this is now going to be a present to myself for a promotion I recently secured at work. So nice to have it arriving sooner rather than later.

I was torn between the chrono and the standard one. I went with the standard version in the end and really liking it. Nice mix of colour and the branding isn’t too obvious.

Picked mine up last week, much nicer in the flesh and I find the Red Bull branding fairly unobtrusive.

Really happy with it. It’s ridiculously light and feels well built. My only issue is the strap really, it’s not particularly long so I have to remove it completely from the buckle to get it over my hand. I’ve got an Erikas on the way to replace it. Lume is great too!

Wish I'd known about this thread and the desperate hunt of some for this watch earlier.
I tried this one on in Westfield Shepherd's Bush on Oct 14th. In the window and for sale there and then. I'd have posted a PSA had I realised. Anyone still looking you never know, it might be worth giving them a call.
I was tempted but the Red Bull branding puts me off unfortunately.

I wonder whether a non-branded FXD chrono will ever be on the cards, in a more run-of-the-mill titanium case like the rest of the range?
I guess it will, it would be unlike Tudor to come up with a new variation and then not use it for other colour and material choices

Some wrist shots I took earlier. It does wear a little bigger than my other FXD but you only notice going straight from one to the other.

It’s so light that I keep the strap tighter to remind me I’ve got it on!

I knew I’d love it, not been this excited about a new watch for years.

I like it,though I just noticed the branding interferes with the timing track.

I’d prefer it without the branding, no doubt.

I guess it’s either the case, you like it despite the branding, or you don’t like it because of the branding.

It will certainly divide opinions for sure.

Tried on the three hander this week. I found the branding barely noticeable, and liked the colour scheme.
There is a Tudor "roadshow" at the local AD soon, hope to do a side by side for all variations then.
