If you look in the incoming thread - Ryan picked up a yellow one and I am waiting for a blue one to arrive today...

Snap with the blue - I have already ordered a green strap for the summer to give me some options.

Love the look of these, won’t be adding one myself as I’m going cold turkey for this year but did see them in person a couple of months back and they’re pretty swish. The marbling pattern in the carbon is really cool. Only thing that would concern me is longevity of the carbon composite in terms of shock and impact resistance - I know metals don’t always come out of impacts that well but I have no idea how a carbon case would react. Would bits chip off?

    Either way, stunning looks!

To be honest at this price I'm not that worried but everything I've read about the material suggests it is very very tough and so I'm not worried about chipping and the like...

True, a sub-£1000 watch from a brand that gets frequent discounts isn’t going to be the worst thing in the world to replace! Plus now I think about it, some G-Shocks use a carbon composite so it must be pretty decent.

I notice some of the Edifices also do as well but mainly ones sold outside of the UK:

Went to see these today, they are really nice in person!
But how do you make a choice between the three! With 6 straps to choose from I do wonder if going with the red is the easiest option for suiting all the straps. Maybe that's too safe. I like all of them so difficult to choose.
    Which would you take?

The correct answer is yellow and blue

It's a fun looking piece and I'm tempted, but so far I've been unable to get an explanation of how the countdown on the dial is used - have I missed something?

In theory it is a regatta timer but in reality it's just a style feature.

Go lairy and bright! With watches like these, the moon swatches, swatch blancpains etc that are meant to be a bit of fun I really don't understand people going for the subtle or safe option at all. Each to his own of course but that's my view.

    Thanks for the heads up!
I don't know, I know the red has the most 'boring' dial but I do like the idea of having every strap and all of them looking great. Will have to try see them again!
Would love to see the blue and yellow on other straps, hard to find any pics.

Third party straps go on fine with the case design.

I'd go grey dial myself, any colour strap works with that.

    Love the lume.

Well I went with some colour in the end!
Anyway it's getting wrapped up and I can open it on my birthday. Thanks all for enabling me, wouldn't have even known about this model if it weren't for the forum! Haha
Have to say I love the little I did get to see of it, has a real premium feel to it.

Can be found for about £650 if you search long enough!
6 strap colours available and quite reasonably priced imo. Will definitely get the green and probably work my way to getting all of them! Haha

Found a shop which had the orange strap in the display window. They kindly agreed to fit it to the yellow dial for me to have a look but I wasn't quite convinced so I didn't buy it.
Think the yellow dial would look good on the green, blue or black. Not so sure about the red but you never know!
Interested to see it on leather too if anyone's ventured out there.
