    Premier League 2023-24

Non state owned club, show state owned club that it pays to invest in a world class manager.

Poor Eddie looked under pressure by the end.

Yawn . More crap from the RAWK echo chamber
As Ivan knows, Pep isn’t world class , he’s a chequebook manager .

City were absolutely brilliant tonight and still needed a last minute winner. That’s testament to Eddie Howe and Newcastle. I was disappointed that they tried to sit on the lead but I guess that’s what happens.
It’s obvious you can’t compete when the state owned # / controlled #club can go out and buy the likes of Foden, Lewis and Bobb for untold billions.

Anyway, the ginger prince is back .

They’re still benefiting from years of taking the piss. It’s going to have to be at least 2 divisions relegation and a three year ban from signing players.

Amazing what spending a couple of hundred million on new facilities can do for you youth program to be fair.

I was down playing de Bruyne coming back because Foden had been so good, but he was different class tonight, doesn’t bode well for the rest of the league.

Man City are to a large part responsible for the strength of the England team currently so I'd be careful about biting the hand that feeds.

Liverpool only spent 40m on their new training facilities.

    Citeh spent 250m in 2014

    I know
I worked on the new one at Kirkby and it is terrible .
You get what you paid for .
And it was £50 million but let’s not let the facts get in the way .

Which you then bought back for £13 m .
City’s training ground cost £200 m btw and it’s years ahead of Kirkby . If you saw the state of your place , you’d be shocked .

    Christ, you need help .
Premier League thread of which you’ve stated numerous times, you don’t follow .
As for bragging , I haven’t . I’ve just stated facts about Liverpools training ground which , if I recall, is where a Premier League team plays .
Now away back in your box , fool .

No Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison, Kulu, Son. If we get anything out of today’s game it’ll be a miracle.

That’s Liverpool women who bought it back, nothing to do with the men’s team.

The state of the place ? Im there twice a week, what are you on about ? It’s a top facility.

Are you comparing it to Citeh’s that was 4 times the cost ?

Only had the chance because Rashford was greedy & fluffed his attempt.

he (Højlund) would score many more if other Man U players passed to him IMHO.

We were narrowly beaten by the best team on the planet. We’ve conceded so many late goals this season due to not being able to bring on subs who aren’t Championship or League 1 level. It is what it is and it’s really frustrating. City are light years ahead of us and everyone else and, with KDB and The Cyborg coming back, will win the league again this year in my opinion. I can see them winning the next nine or ten games in a row.

    OK
As a starter , next time you’re there , have a look at the panels in the reception that show your achievements. The boards are 8x4 ish . They are peeling , warping and coming apart .
Have a look at the glass on the bridge above both gyms and alongside the main 5 a side pitch . The whole building has shifted . Pop outside on the decking area and see where the external doors have had rubber screwed to the bottom of them to stop wind and rain coming in .
The floor in the main canteen was ripped up and replaced because it was botched and it hasn’t got any better .
Citehs (hilarious btw) cost four times more because it’s five times bigger and ten times better .
I like the irony of the James Milner door though.

Oh, and before you run to google to check, I was being flippant about the size . Not the quality .

They do look fragile at the back though. That being said KDB was utter class.

That was a very creditable performance and outcome, given the above. We have a two week break now, which couldn't have come at a better time.

Entertaining game and Spurs do move the ball around nicely.

Would be very happy to see Udogie in a blue shirt and he could win some medals ?

Spurs B team against a very dull and poor Utd team.. I was glad of the point.. It’s embarrassing.. Jim has got a huge job on his hands.. Anyone can pass around us or through us.. It’s hard work being a Utd fan these days..

Unfortunately not, although I do wind my Liverpool supporting mates up about it.

I had nothing to do with the main construction. I’m only a little fish in a big pond of constructors for this particular project. I’m also one of the last contractors in as my work is interior based.
Look, joking aside, I liked working there. I had a good relationship with the staff there after it was handed over and would happily call over if required. There was an issue I had to help sort out with the facilities team over a safety issue they were concerned about . It’s hard to be specific but we worked it out. Other trades weren’t so forthcoming and some of the work was downright shoddy .
.I will be called back there at some point to look at further issues. Of this I’m pretty certain.

The biggest one for me is Rashford.
He gets a free pass every time when he’s mostly inconsistent at best and downright greedy at worst.

    Romero - £42m
    Van de Ven £34m
    Bentancur - £16m
    Hojberg - £16m
    Skipp - youth
    Werner - loan, (German International)
    Richarlison - £60m
    Johnson - £48m
    Udogie - £18m

    Subs - Emerson - £26m
    Dragusin - £25m
    Gil - £21m

Just the £363m worth of talent playing today then, call it £400m if you include the market values of Werner and Skipp. Hardly Man City v Torquay!
