The outside "rings" on the dial to the best of my knowledge was only on the automatic model. The quartz modes had a dial very similar to the one yours is fitted with now. I wonder if the new models are all the same.
I recently had my watch serviced (H70515137) directly by Hamilton as it suffered water damage so I had to get the dial and hands replaced. The only issue I had was that they replaced the dial with a different one! Something that they had never informed me about prior to the service. To illustrate this, this is the watch I originally purchased:
After the service this is what my watch looked like:
I called them up and asked why they did that. Their response was that the original dial I had was discontinued so they couldn't replace it with the same dial. However, having searched all over the internet I still see the old dial being sold. In fact I can't find anything about this new dial by Hamilton. Does anyone know what watch uses this dial and whether the old one really is being phased out? Has anyone purchased one of these watches recently? It's strange that I can't find any photos using this dial at all.

Aaaaggghhh… the date window
Thread here on watchuseek featuring a watch with the same dial:

I would send it back and ask them to install the correct dial. That watch model with your original dial is still for sale on their site.

If the pics are 100% accurate they have changed the hands too, certainly the red tipped seconds hand and possibly the others.
Also unless it's an illusion of the dial, the date window send to have has moved inwards. If so they must have changed the date wheel, maybe more.
They may have simply installed another complete watch into your case.
I'd tell them to make it how it was, or let you choose your alternative.
Can’t believe that your original dial isn’t available, I wouldn’t be happy with that.

It’s not what you expected, so that’s disappointing.
However, against the grain, I prefer the replacement dial.
The replacement dial looks more akin to those used on 1990s 9721 automatics - the classic version of the Khaki in my opinion and somewhat successor to the 1960s RAF 6B, a personal favourite. I think a 9721/6B style handset would suit better.

The thing that strikes me is that the date window is in a different place relative to the case. The original dial is certainly the 38mm version whereas the second (replacement) dial looks like a 40mm or 42mm version.
I wonder if you’ve been sent the wrong watch by mistake?
Nice spot! To clarify, the second photo is of my watch (so the hands were indeed replaced), however the first photo that I used is the 38mm version of the watch. I merely used it to illustrate what the dial should look like, too lazy to search for the 42mm version when I realised I used a photo of the smaller watch. So please ignore the two different sizes. My watch is the 42mm version of the watch.
I can confirm that it is indeed just an illustration of the dial (I used the 38mm Khaki photo by mistake instead of the 42mm version that I have). However, you are not wrong that they have installed a new movement into the case. My watch contained the original ETA 2824-2 movement whereas now it has the newer Hamilton H-10 movement. Somewhat of a disappointment as I liked the ETA 2824-2 movement better than the H10. Nothing I can do about that.
