Any decent pubs in South Ken?

I off to London this weekend and not being able to stay in any of my usual hotels (didn’t realise it was the marathon) so find myself in South Kensington.

Any decent proper pubs or late night drinking available in the area for last knockings before hitting the sack.

For ref am staying within a stones throw of south Ken tube station.
    Cheers,

    Ben

I like the Zetland Arms on Bute Street.
There is also the Hoop and Toy on Cromwell Place
Both are less than 2 mins walk from the Tube
They are tourist style pubs though.

Further afield there is the Hunters Moon and Anglesea Arms that are both more frequented by locals.

Lovely pub but a bit of walk from South Ken tube. (2 stops on the circle line)

I've enjoyed a decent pint or three in The Queens Arms with fellow TZers.

Hoop & Toy, just around the corner from the tube station. Or the Queen’s Arms just a little further away.

But further afield but the 'Cask Pub and Kitchen' just off vauxhall bridge road have a cracking range of beers, ciders etc available. Food is good too but not gourmet, good if you like a decent burger.

Pictures online don't do the food justice.

Used to have our team meetings in there or after meeting drinks. Gets quite busy.

The Duke on the Green, Parsons Green. 400 yds from Parsons Green tube, five stops from South Ken on the District Line. Youngs pub, good beer and food. Proper pub!

Lillie Langtry close to West Brompton tube. Another good gastro pub. A little further away is The Goose on North End Road - a little bit low rent but okay for a relatively cheap beer and ok food.

Earls Court - The Blackbird is good. Opposite Earls Court tube Earls Court Road entrance not Warwick Road

My favourite when I worked in the area was the Hour Glass on Brompton Rd (so I guess strictly-speaking not quite S.Ken) - that seems to have changed its name to Brompton Cross. The Anglesea Arms was also good, but fierce expensive even by local standards. Most of the rest that were decent seem to have gone now.

Depressingly I realise it's 20 years since I last drank regularly there... Jeez...

Am I the only one who thinks that the Hoop and Toy sounds like a fetish club?

You are also only a short walk away from the Grenadier in Wilton Row - a bit cheesy but it's nice to sit outside with a pint if the weather lends itself.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
