I only own 3 watches (& a g shock) at the moment. Most bases covered I think.

These 3 get worn the most in regular rotation, so I suppose they default to being my favourites...

The 16600, my 1st anniversary present.

The 116619LB "Smurf" when I left the City:

The 5212A, a graduation present to myself when I went back to school and got my MSc:

As a trio, this is excellent.

Chrono, diver, and a versatile everyday watch.

I’ve been working towards the same but can’t decide between two of the divers. So I’m stuck at 4 (+ a G-SHOCK, they don’t count)

(+ an SKX, they also don’t count)

    Awesome threesome!

Are the Speedy and 6105 vintage or are they modern re-editions?

They are the modern variants, I have had the vintage versions of both but these are a nice compromise.

Gosh, this is a tough one. My dad’s old Omega Seamaster 2000, purely for sentimental reasons. The 1969 Moonwatch. The GS Snowflake.

    I think.

Although there should be a G-shock in there. And the Darth Tuna. And, and and…

    These three for me.
The PO has come back to me which I'm quite pleased about because it was one I regretting the minute it sold, now it's on a strap it's much more wearable and it's been on my wrist all week.
The Lion holds a special place as I've always been in love with the Godzilla but I wanted a bracelet for that kind of money. It's a big watch but I've accepted the fact that I like big watches. It hugs the wrist, also being Ti, it's not heavy.
And finally the Omega Great White. I spent a long time looking for a good example and fortunately a fellow member answered to my want to buy ad and it's perfect in every way.

Difficult to pick a favourite three. However these are three of my favourites, all regularly worn and all would make the cut if I decided to sell most of the others.

    At present

Breitling SOH B20 46mm. A posthumous present from my mum after she passed similar to many here. It’s fallen behind in the rotation lately but it’s the one that would hurt the most if god forbid I ever had to sell it.

Ulysse Nardin Dual time. I love a travel watches and love UN watches. So this ticks both. An absolute bargain when I bought it and it’d be hidden with the Breitling when ‘they’ came for my stuff.

Another UN, Maxi Marine Diver titanium SE. Again I love it to bits but I would probably let it go before my Panerai 321. The reason that’s not here is that it’s currently back with WoS for a service as it stopped after a few days with the power reserve showing 3/4 remaining which is obviously less than ideal. Not had an feedback from them as yet so may end up rejecting via distance selling so it’s kind of in limbo at present. Really hope they just fix and return it under warranty as it’s a fantastic thing.

    Here’s the Panerai…

My top 3. Not the most worn top 3.

1965 Omega Seamaster that belonged to my grandad; lovely man and a great influence on me. Restored to this fine condition by Paul Walker
2002 Rolex 114270 - 50th gift from my wife; when I got this I thought it would be my last watch replacing a Zenith that was worn daily for 18 years also bought by my wife.
2022 IWC Marx XX - bought by my wife to celebrate our 20th anniversary and the watch I now wear every day.

The Rolex is saved for best / occasions; the Omega typically over the Christmas period only.

That said the Rolex is a less comfortable choice these days as the brand has gone a bit bling for my tastes ... but the Explorer is pretty low key ...

rather than my 3 favorites I have to post the 3 I wear the most.

I have to say the International watch co Mark XI from 1952 is my pride and Joy.
    It was my grail.
    I would say my favourite.

my tritium Rolex explorer is so nice to wear.

But easiest to wear is my Tudor shock resisting on an airking bracelet that adds quality.

These are my three favourites. The Polar was gifted to me on my 40th, the 1680 is my birth year watch and the 116600 is such a fab watch, it has some real heft compared to the other two.

Strong trio Jacob. I was hoping you'd pop up here.

Did you ever buy a 6119G? Curious how it stacks up Vs the 5212a?

Thanks Wiley, not got a 6119 but did get a 5990a 🔵 and a 5168g 🔵. I much prefer the 5212 over the 6119 as for me PP is about complications and the 3 handers I wear are made by Rolex and Tudor etc. The 5212 is just a joy each time it's worn it's so unassuming but has so many quirky details. 5726 is extremely comfortable and the grey dial is sublime. The pepsi is my favourite Rolex ever. Just swell and I'm fortunate to have all the hot models. Just something about this GMT. I didn't even like it when it was released...

Having gone through a consolidation phase, with the motto "less is more" I'm down to 5 watches, so picking the favourite 3 is not so difficult. These are them!

Interesting feedback. Thank you. I went to the salon a good few weeks back and tried on a host of calatravas. There was a 5212 but it was reserved and still sealed so I couldn't try it on.

I was dead set on the 5205G before turning up but due to the thickness it wore small. The 5226G didn't blow me away and the 5396G was a bit small too. I'll arrange to go back and try the 6119G and 5212A side by side but I think your logic re complications only is pretty fair. I think it'll be between a Patek and a WG DD40 in the end.

An impossible question as it changes daily and sometimes a couple of times a day. I suppose my top three are whichever I wore last, what I’m wearing now, and which I’ll wear next.

Love that and wish I hadn’t sold mine. If I hadn’t, I’d probably be a one watch man by now.

    Newest in, love it.

    Tough, wears well, perfect Sinn.

The catalyst for it all. Saw it in a magazine, Googling brought me here, bought a Sinn, then picked this up on SC once I’d come to terms with the cost! Been worn at most of the important events in my life over the last 10 years, lots of sentimental value.

Although if one watch it would probably be the Sinn 556 for it’s versatility and was the first mechanical watch in.

  48. #98

    I’d have to go, in no particular order;

    * Rolex Daydate 40 White Gold with Olive dial

    * Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15500 with Blue dial

    * Panerai Luminor 605 Firenze

But it’s bound to change tomorrow, the day after etc
