    Eternamatic - help

    Currently servicing an Eternamatic(12824 movement).

    Found this:

Managed to get a new ratchet wheel from Cousins.
    But also found this:

Does anybody know where I could get a new stem as you can see this one is twisted. Cousins are saying it isn't available anymore.
Or has anybody any guidance on 'untwisting' this.

In fact I should have checked the drawing more closely.

First time I saw one of these stems I was confused by it too!

Ratchet wheel teeth break when the reversers stick and someone makes a determined effort to hand- wing regardless, something has to give and its usually the ratchet wheel teeth.

Be sure to clean the reversers thoroughly, there’s a special lubricant (Lubeta 105) for them but prior to the introduction of this the advice was to oil lightly with 9010. An alternative is to make up an approx 5% soln of 9010 in rinse fluid and immerse the reversers, after drying this leaves a fine film of 9010 oil where it needs to be.
