PC - I'm not usually a fan of the full gold experience but that is a very sweet thing. Perfect for a special occasion and great to see a piece that's nearly 80 years old in full working order.My "new" 1947 (birth year) Gruen Curvex just arrived today, as did the bracelet I ordered for it separately. Since the watch is as old as I am, it's obviously been restored to its original luster. It came on a new alligator leather strap, but I prefer it on this vintage gold-filled bracelet with small "brick" links. The bracelet is way too big for me so I'll need to have a couple inches of links removed. The genuine Curvex movement was just serviced, too!
