I think I should let someone who’s good at this take over and stick to my day job ?

I have a little job I'd like doing on the old tax disk for my motorbike. I have the original tax disks with the bike, including the first one issued in 1950. The problem is that it's a bit water damaged down one edge hence some of the text is missing.
I do have a scan of an undamaged 1950 tax disk, but it's a slightly different colour.
I'd like to select the undamaged area of that one and transpose it onto damaged area of the image of my original, but of course the colours would need matching.
And I also have what appears to be a recreation of a 1950 tax disk (slightly thicker lines, slightly different fonts) if it's of any use in the process.
I'd like to use the repaired scan of the original to display on my bike, I know I could just print the undamaged one and fill it in but it would be nice to have a repaired copy of the original, complete its serial number and the rubber stamp from the Glasgow licensing office!
Can anyone help (as in actually do the job!)?

Well that's a magnitude better than I could have achieved, many thanks for having a go clemenry!
No problem Duncan. Best I can muster with my limited skills. I’m sure an expert will be along shortly to show us how it’s done

You could just get one made up here for a small price, I did with my 87 M3, I added date of production that my car came off the production line or of course you can keep original.
