As soon as the guy starting his "act" - I stopped listening to her and was completely mesmerised by his performance.

Amazing performance, and that was quite a sofa full.

I like some of Pink's stuff but there's a lot to dislike about that tune; the tedious verse built on four boring chords, the overwrought lyric and vocal and the robotic rhythm especially. The trampoline artist though - amazing.

Actually got annoyed listening to that, to think that people want to listen to something so hackneyed and simple.

Never liked her so didn’t watch it. She’s usually just a load of shouting.

Got to agree with comments above I caught the end of the show last week and as soon as the trampolinist started I didnt hear anything she shouted/ sang. Classic case of your eyes overriding your hearing.

I’m worried about about my taste at times.Pink is very successful and has a big following. Clearly has a number of fans on here but I just glazed over straight away there.

Not one of her best songs. The trampolining is fab though. I love her song 'Never Gonna Not Dance Again'...it's a genius bit of pop. Good video too.

The double negative in the title of her last single was unforgiveable.
Not that it`ll matter, double negatives are probably fine in the USA and will soon be a thing over here.

  19. #19
Sounds like trustfund baby, and wasn't that trampoline thing on Britain's got talent about five years ago?

I think there’s a place for a butch looking girl in bovver boots and a pretty dress singing a simplistic rock song - it’s not really an original idea is it? - but she can actually shout/sing in tune and is at least consistent in her output, if you like that sort of thing - which I don’t particularly but I know plenty of people who like her music. The bloke was clever but I’d rather see them as two separate performances tbh. Better than the average performer he has on though!

If pink was actually on Graham Norton, do you think he could rise to the occasion.

When I saw the title of this thread I immediately thought that he'd turned up on TV with a brightly coloured suit on. I know he's a bit camp but even so.... 😅

Would never watch anything Graham Norton related. Makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Yoann Bourgeois is an amazing dancer / performer - his routines are stunning..combined with P!nk - great pairing, that's an excellent performance.

Quite a remarkable and sublime performance his timing and accuracy were just stunning

Pink's had her moments but that shtick on Norton isn't one of them.

And of her original material, I can't remember liking anything except for Fucking Perfect -- here's a recent performance, but the original music vid is worth seeing, too, AFAIR.

As for the trampolinist performance, it reminded me of how that one dancer stole Kylie's show once:

(Confide In Me being her best original song, too, in my book).

He was superb as Father Noel Furlong in Father Ted.

Not watched him on anything other than that.

Not embarassed, just uncomfortable with the way I despise him, I'm sure I am being unreasonable as he seems so "loved", but , makes my flesh crawl whenever an unsolicited TV appearance is visited upon an unsuspecting me.

She’s fantastic. My wife’s fave artist. (I’ve just bought her tickets to see her in Hyde park this summer)

For those of you who think she shouts……..

She’s famously never lip synced or mimed a song, ever.

    Really, why is that?

    Are you homophobic?

  42. #42
No, I am lucky enough to number several homosexuals among my friends and they incite no phobias. Thanks for asking.

Lady Sod was watching this show earlier this evening while I was cooking (usual division of labour...) - Pink's cover of Sinéad O'Connor's 'Nothing Compares' was impressive. Usually it's where egos go to die - it's way harder to render well than too many smug halfwits realise - but the gal did it justice. Kudos.

I have a few Sinéad O'Connor albums, some excellent music in them.

    Errr - don't you mean P!nk's cover of Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U? Sinéad's version was also a cover.

    Thread resurrection……

Wife went to see Pink in Hyde park. Said it was absolutely fantastic, the best artist she’s ever seen perform (and she’s seen many)

I wasn’t much of a fan before this but have been listening to her albums and must say, she’s bloody incredible.

This song is particularly beautiful. A tribute to her late father. Wonderful lyrics.
