Talking Incoming - You guys are gonna hate it again! Updated with wrist shots

There has been some discussion about this watch when it was launched and the general consensus was of hatred and disgust, but then again I have many watches that go against the grain.
This was is discontinued and there were only 888 ever made in the first place, so getting hold of one was nearly impossible at retail, yesterday I got an email from Hamilton direct saying they had one in stock, not sure how but anyway it's on its way. Fully auto chronograph AND 3 hander
Model number is H32856705 and it's a massive 53mm, having never seen one in the flesh due to the rarity I just ordered it while I had the chance.
As they say, haters gonna hate, but a few of you have mentioned you like my eclectic tastes.

    I await the abuse

It's your money and you can buy whatever you want. If someone doesn't like your watches, so what.

Why would you get abuse?? It's true that this forum is pretty conservative in watch tastes but I'm seeing that changing slowly. Cool watch, enjoy it.

I definitely don't like it as a wristwatch; just not to my taste. But as an object, I love it.

I thought Hamilton were a pretty conservative brand in terms of style and design so this is a bit of a surprise.

I am not sure I would wear it but I have always thought these were quite cool.
Hamilton have a history of crazy design and I am glad they still do the odd model that is left field.

As Sinnlover says Hamilton like a wacky design, the Ventura has been around for decades so not all are as conservative as most of us on here. Great watch, great brand (my favourite), lot’s of pictures please when it arrives!

I'd normally run a mile from something that looks like that but in this case....I love it!! Absolutely spectacular.

I'd wear that, looks great! I prefer that to some other hi-end brand avant-garde offerings.

    I like it, very different.

Assuming the chrono pushers work as standard, 2 o’clock for start/stop and 4 o’clock reset, if you flip the case to show the time you can still operate chrono with buttons reversed, ie 4 o’clock start/stop and 2 o’clock reset.
    Cheers,

    Ben

Like it. It's mad and different, and oddly beautiful - and it's not a quartz trying to masquerade itself as something else.

Pics please when it's on your wrist.

It's VAST! Demented! Fugly! Ludicrous! Unwearable!

Not a daily wearer I guess, but it’s a cool looking piece. Is there a reason for there being 888 pieces? Appreciate they have to set a figure somewhere for a limited edition, just wondered if there was some relevance to 888?

Something to do with it being a palindrome, the Hamilton BelowZero watch from Tenet is 888 and the Face2Face 2 is 999 limited but the palindrome is their only explanation.

    Nice, definitely an interesting piece.

If I saw that watch and was able to open conversation, I would.

Well guys it has arrived, looks brand new despite being made in 2103, warranty card has this week's date on it. Could have bought a speedy or a Seamaster, but who's gonna spark a conversation over that?

2103 does explain the futuristic looks! Yeah, that looks in pretty good nick. I'll be interested in how comfortable it wears, it does extend more towards the hand than a round case. Certainly a piece that should receive comments / spark discussion, which should be good.

Wow, I like that a lot.
Is it two separate movements inside? Do you set both sides independently of each other?

Yes the chrono is adjusted via the crown, the 3 hander has a little lever to pull down and adjust, so in theory it's a gmt too

I like that, the way you can see the front and the back at the same time. Not sure about the clear bits with the arm visible underneath but other than that it's original and interesting.

So basically... with the three-hander face up... you can still start and stop the chrono but you would have to take it off to see the reading.

Am I right? If yes, I can dig that.

Yes I guess so, but if were using the chronograph you would have that face up.

I like it very much indeed, great purchase! To qualify that, I'm also a long time admirer of the MB&F HM6 "Space Pirate".

Love it, but two automatic movements? Servicing will be expensive. Still, you could extend service intervals by only doing it when both have stopped working!
