It can’t be truly NOS if the display’s still functioning on a Gen 1..

I'd consider it NOS if it's never been sold, battery change or otherwise.

It would have needed a good few battery changes since new if it’s been for sale all that time. I’d be checking the titanium caseback screws VERY carefully, as even Omega UK service centre managed to mangle half of them on mine when it went in for a battery change, and they needed replacing. Interesting point though. If an unsold mechanical watch had been serviced, would you still consider it NOS?

Genuine question - not in disagreement with you, btw

Surely to be true NOS you would expect the correct box, not a modern replacement.

And this week’s winner is….The Meg!!

I wore a mate’s for a couple of days years ago and fell in love with it. Wears surprisingly well for the dimensions. So cool 😎

Put this cheapy on to go to a gig last night.

Definitely one of the better AliExpress clones.

As I fancy a Friday film evening, and Predator is on the bill, it seems that wearing the Arnie 2 is mandatory. This has been modded with a StitchesAndBucklesSG (Etsy) steel shroud. It normally wears a Strapecode bracelet but I refitted the original rubber strap to knock the weight down.

Ive almost decided to keep the later model but I much prefer the case on the older.

10th Feb - That Friday feeling

The first watch I bought when I got into the hobby around 15 years ago, haven’t worn it for a good while but it’s good to remember where you’’ve come from
