Super slow refreshing anything today and for a while now it no longer gives me notifications to replies or messages despite deleting and reinstalling.

Yep, cleared cache on mobile and then logged in using username. Seemed to sort it.

Easily the worst app I have on my iPhone.

Logged out of Tapatalk and back in. Made no difference.
Logged out of TK-UK and back in. All ok now.
Keeps telling me cURL extension not installed.
Now sorted by logging out of website & logging in afresh in the app. What a faff!

Sorry guys, but you kinda deserve what you get - Tapatalk is a bag of shite and has been from day 1. It's designed to monetise the platforms that it is involved in, nothing more. Whatever glitch I enjoyed has gone.
Given I paid for the premium version years back before they scammed users and changed their business model. Can’t use the C word here, but their management team are all utter ones.
I paid the one off fee a number of years ago to be add free and, so far, even after transferring to a new iPhone and iPad, am still ad free.
Yep I paid the fee ages ago. But since changed phones several times and not sure it is still that premium version.
My app has been fine except the last two days when it is very and. Not just on this forum.
I did notice the iPhone had a software update recently so wondering if that could be why?
Same here, I'd made some password changes on my iPhone and assumed these were causing CURL issues on Tapatalk with me logging into TZUK. But no, as I can login on the TZUK app and on the website on the iPhone and Mac. So it's clearly just Tapatalk that's become a pain.
I've tried all the usual logouts, cache clearing, reinstalls and reboots with no effect. I'd cancelled my subscription anyway, so it's now time to become refamiliar with the TZUK app.

I had no idea TZUK had an app. May give that a go, but will give Tapatalk a couple more days. It has been faultless for me for many years, so hopefully they are sorting out whatever the issue is.
Exactly this, I have always found it to be excellent, I don’t understand why I now have advertisements as I did pay a premium previously and it’s now very glitchy. I will give it some time as I find it really easy to use and to post pictures.
I did try the TZUK app a long time ago but didn’t find it easy to use.
I may just find out how to pay the premium again to sort out the glitches and remove the advertisements from tapatalk though, as I have found it by far the easiest platform to use.

I understand that they have removed the one of payment for premium and moved to a subscription based model.
Lol I just remembered I pay 49p a month for it!
So that is how to get rid of the ads, you are right.
Edit: but mine is still slow, so paying may not solve it.

I fixed my issue, which was as I originally suspected, due to my using Passkeys on my iPhone. These are a newish form of security which in effect uses the iPhone itself as a two stage authentication device. Passwords are stored in Apple's iCloud. Essentially the iPhone was passing my Tapatalk password to TZUK, even though I told it not to.
Reverting my settings back to my default password system which is Bitwarden, a reinstall of Tapatalk and removal of all references to TZUK and Tapatalk from the Apple side of things got me back into Tapatalk.
Here's a link to Apple's Passkeys site. The idea is coming, as a lot of the big tech companies have signed up. But it seems to be early days yet.

Yes that should work for most, unless like me as explained above, Passkeys was sending the wrong password. I tried your option several times before working out what was happening.

I’ve had to uninstall, re install then manually put in my password for tz-uk as when it said ‘are you ‘username’ and I clicked yes it failed to connect. Weirdly I had an email from tapatalk saying they’ve changed my password for a username which I might have used for other forums but not this one. Whole thing seems a bit shonky tbh

I had that when I logged out and back in but forced a refresh by dragging down from the top of the screen. That solved my issue.

Back to normal today but the last few days have been an utter pain.
Same here now fixed. I didn’t do anything it seems to have fixed itself.
My iPhone was running like a dog. I tried several things which didn’t work. Overnight my phone software was updated and now it’s stable. Not sure if it’s linked.
