New series 2 at studio underdog. Field watch in some odd colour ways and the dial screws look wrong, but there's also some to like.

I'm not sure about the whole thing of having the numerals on a raised glass so they cast a shadow on the dial. But the one with the blue lume dial and orange lume hands does have something about it.

Like that a lot. I guess the screws are mainly there to make the transparent dial apparent...

    Blue for me, too...

IWC just released the Mojave ceramic chrono in a more wearable 41mm. Ive always loved this colourway but previous versions of the watch have been too big for me. Its expensive but Im very tempted by this.

I see that Bremont have now released a set of variations for the S302, which up to now has been on its own.
    The 3 new variations are

    Blue Green

    Vintage Black

And Jet (as they call it)

    (all pics from Bremont site)

That last one is very nice indeed. I just hope the bezel is 120 click.

3.7k? I'd better see what I can find on the used market....

    Novelty moon watch on Kickstarter:

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ust?ref=3bdab1

"At INTERSTELLAR, we don't just create watches; we craft horological masterpieces inspired by the wonders of the universe."

Horological masterpiece = your choice of Miyota or Sellita movements.

On the plus side, not expensive.

Have they ever done this with a grey ceramic?

I think there's been black, white, blue, green and sand coloured ceramic models in various sizes. There's also a ceratanium version which is a very dark, charcoal grey.

I like the look of these, especially on a rubber or leather bracelet.

For some reason I’m drawn to the Studio Underdog - 800 seems steep for a microbrand though? It’s not the kind of watch I normally go for, it’s a mystery!

I've had the last one (Jet) up on my monitor screen all day - likewise, liking the look of it, but can't quite justify the RRP (and think I'd miss having a bracelet option).

Had it ready to finalise check out and then the cheapest shipping option was $50 so that was me out.

I did think that was a bit of a liberty. If I get charged import on top, which is likely, Ill be raging.

Yeah I usually get charged with Hodinkee purchases and the shipping cost is calculated as part of the value of the item as well.

Havent ordered from Hodinkee since the last Mayer G-Shock but Im pretty sure I got done for it then.

Only just remembered now the reason I sold the last one was due to the MMDD which this one also has so the ending is probably already decided.

If you have a spare 20k burning a hole in your pocket, VC have added this ‘Les Collectioneurs’ revival. It certainly isn’t shy about the logo - something only VC could make look elegant, imagine that with a Rolex logo!

As a dress watch that I would never wear, (because nice places would not let me in) I think its lovely and I am not a dress watch fan.
Of the holy trilogy VC are they only brand I would consider owning based purely on their designs. Thankfully I cant afford them do Casio make a dress watch?
Other brands would (and have) make a similar effort look rather tacky IMO.

Im liking the Jet too. Its a bit odd that the GMT bezel is unidirectional.

Another colourful 103 LE from Sinn. Nice to see them use a rare ceramic bezel insert too.

Only 300 being made for 'Armbanduhren' magazine, and steeply-priced at 3,590, which is simply greedy for something with a mundane Sellita movement.

I like it, but I can see it being an opinion divider lookswise.

Yes, I saw that. I guess it is just because the existing S300 dive bezel does that, and their modular range philosophy prefers not to introduce new ways of doing the same thing, so the S300 bezel gets re-used on this model

New centre-minutes chronograph from Damasko, DC96, reprising the dressier look of their erstwhile DK100-series:

Also coming with black or silver dials.

No idea as to price, but I'd expect around the 3,000 mark, as seems inevitable nowadays.

First impression is I like it a lot - the more recent typeface is a good development, and it has all the functionality I like, plus I've been fancying a blue-dialled chrono for a while now.

Not going to rush-in this time: I didn't bond with the DC76, so ideally need to see this in the metal first, also the need to decide what to sell to fund it...

That is lovely Earl, I would like a blue Chrono but it needs to come on a bracelet. The centre seconds is a desirable but uncommon feature. Let's hope 3k is not too far off.

Likely that the case is fundamentally identical with the DC56 or DC76 (polished bezel notwithstanding), so Damasko's lovely-if-pricey bracelet will fit it.

Umm, I had lost track of price inflation at Damasko - and this is by far the worst, how about 4,500?!!!

    Me neither, I'm out. Shame.

Damn, love this dial! Case shape is a ringer for a vintage IWC Yacht Club, and probably a few other watches too. 39mm and far from expensive, with a diving model too, but this one is the real looker. Fun in the dark too with lume on all the dots.

Its a vintage piece from their historic collection which has been fully restored/refurbished, not a re-issue which can bought from their boutique.

Thats just saved you 20k Martyn.

First it needs someone to blink and buy one - back when their chronos were under 2K there was a fighting chance - now, not so much.

If it had come in ~3-3.5K I'd probably have moved my rarely worn PO on, but at 4.5K even a fanbhoi like me can't see how to justify the price. Even used, sellers will want close to 4K, and I still couldn't justify it.

Oh well, not like I'm short of bluddy watches anyway!!!

    If it helps:

Its a dress chronograph dial with a bloody irksome, ugly date window. No thought has been given to the copy and paste case which has been taken from their other models with massive crownguards, betraying the dressy aspirations of the dial. I bet its about 16mm thick too, making it unsuitable for a shirt and top heavy on a leather strap. The talk of bracelets is nonsense as the bead blasted ultra engineered bracelet would clash with the brush and polish of this one.

Oh, and to keep true to form: its too bloody expensive, that!

There’s a similar one on eBay at the moment for 4,900.
