    Show your vintage Heuer

I think we are missing one thread for vintage Heuers in the forum.
It is a pity with such a huge back catalogue and the fact that most of them were great lookers!
    Here are mine:

Long gone but I did have this. Bought for £300 off EBay as a non-runner in 2015. Suspected water damage looking at the glass. Figured I could sell the bracelet and get most of my money back however…..

New glass and a clean up, fired up straight away….. no water damage, just a milky crystal!

    On arrival

My only remaining Heuer is this Bundeswehr. I've fond memories of a few others and still wonder if I ought to try an early Carrera one day, having been unwilling to pay the prices asked a few years ago

I’ve been on the lookout for a nice Camaro for a while now. Does anybody on here have one?

My Heuer 2000 Series Automatic Chronograph with the Dubois Depraz 2000 movement which I believe was the result of a collaboration in the early 1970's between Lemania & Dubois Depraz where they mated a DD2000 module to the ETA 2892. Due to Heuer helping to finance this project the LWO 283 was initially exclusive to Heuer. However after Lemania decided to sell their stake in Heuer to TAG in 1984 the movement then became widely used among some of the higher end Swiss brands including AP's Royal Oak.

I used to have a ref 12 but sold long time ago. Now I have a similar black ref. 13-1 with Valjoux 7765. It's not gonna stay as I simply don't want to scratch the rather nicely survived PVD coating.

Still some of the best looking chronographs out there. I love ed335d’s Siffert colour manual wind Autavia.

Not quite vintage yet, but had this for nearly 20 years

After selling my Heuer 844 about 6 months ago I've decided I made a mistake and am now looking for another one. I was offered one on another forum, but I thought I'd check with some outside expertise here first since I can't identify the exact model. I can't find the exact combination of dial, logo and hands that this model has on any other Heuer 844 via Google, is there any risk that it's some kind of frankewatch?

Is that not a re printed dial?
I don’t like the lume plots, the lume on the hands looks strange but look at the quality of the Swiss made print, and where is the 16 minute hash mark? Oh and the 2 in 200 looks to be a different font.

Blackie of this parish is your man for these.

Hi, and thanks for the kind words of recommendation.
    That's deffo not right

Lume triangle is wrong. There was never lume at the side of the date wheel
Looks like it says Swiss made at the bottom. Early 844 had professionel.
Nearly all 844 also had no serial on the back just 844

    It's a wrong un.

Below is a redial as they never did a white one but at least its a decent attempt

16 years ago, this 844/0 was my first proper watch, (aside from a Casio digital during my school days in the 80’s) and is what lured me into watches.

At the time of purchase (won on eBay for £275), I had no idea of what a Monnin Heuer was (the watch wasn’t advertised a such), nor could I find much information on it, aside from an article on the 844 by Chuck Maddox. I bought it, and enjoyed wearing it purely because it was a bit different to what else could be had new for equivalent money. Happy days.

Thank you everyone who chimed in, seems my instinct was right. A slight bummer, but at least it means I have a little bit of a nose for when things aren't right with an 844.
