    Free prescription day

My beautiful wife treated me to this timeless watch earlier this year, ready for my 60th today. The cake was a complete surprise, although I did have to reset the hands.

Congrats on the three score Nigel, and two fabulous timepieces! Was there any significance to the initial five past six?

Thank you for your wishes. The significance of the five past six was my wife's dark humour. I have had five operations and numerous A&E visits in the last year and a bit, we didn't think that I would make it to sixty {or past six on the cake} and that's why she bought the watch for me at the beginning of the year. A bit obscure, but then we both are!
It is an Omega Seamaster 1948 Limited edition as seen in this review...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jm0bIErbl6Y

Yes gold would be lovely, all the markers and hands are white gold though. They give a contrasting warmth to the case.
