Sotheby's "Important Watches" auction in November

Some lovely things available if you are minted. Lot 95 is a bit special, but as I don't have a spare 500,000 CHF (the lower estimate) I think I'll pass

Item 100 is a special watch assuming the markings are genuine.

Price will undoubtedly get even more ouchy, and if it is unique, you'd likely be bidding against VC's own Heritage Dept.

If I was that minted, I would undoubtedly be looking for a complicated VC - just not one that looks like it was recovered from a couple of decades of burial on a dead-man's wrist...

Number 43 and especially 44 are hideous.

If I win the lottery tho ;-l

127 is interesting. I've never seen or heard of the citrus dial before.

Not sure how many of those watches are genuinely important but I wouldn't refuse Lot 80 if it were given to me.

Not sure I should admit this but Lot 38 caught my eye too.

It’s interesting to me that the estimate for the 16610lv has a vast difference in their min max estimate.
