    Art watches/novelty dials

    I love them.
I really enjoy a playful watch, and hanker over most of the ones Fortis have ever done.

I have just ordered a D1 Milano (never even heard of them) because I saw a cool little rocket-ship dialled one online just now!

A smattering of examples below but there are loads that Fortis have done - and a couple of other marks have had a go (Sinn planet one looks ace!)
Also saw an ace cartoon/graffiti-dial thing in Sellors this week - don’t recall the make, something German but will try to find it.

Any love here for a more fun dial?

    One of my earlier ones:

Could be an expensive novelty ....

This space-flown Poljot quartz with Soyuz, Sputniks and other Russian spacecraft on the dial is coming up for auction in a week's time:

Next year's holiday watch for me is definitely going to be a Mr Jones, wonderfully executed, and you can still (almost) tell the time.

    Brilliant!

    Guess it’s ten-past 5?
