Just picked this up to add to my collection.

Not to take anything away from it in any way, but why a diver's watch? I get the Aerospace, X-33 / squadrons thing as there's a connection between the watches and the occupation, but here?

Is it a freebie or special purchase for Royal Security personnel?

I think I need to follow the old saying, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".

    Can't answer that I'm afraid.
Tudor did a similar watch a few years ago in the BB Blue.
If you browse the internet for the Tudor Royalty protection watch watch you'll get more info.

Surely this should come on a jubilee bracelet.

Very nice. There is another on the forum but it hasn’t shared publicly yet. You have a colleague in the ranks!

The auction was for a full size BB from 2018. Same 'special order' though.

A second 2018 one was auctioned recently and sold for £51k.

For anyone interested this is the original article about the first batch of these watches:

I can understand wanting a watch to commemorate something like that - but I much prefer the standard watch tbh. The caseback s hidden away but I don’t like the rose on the dial at all. Lucky we all have differing tastes.

I assume the OP is part of that team, must be great to have a watch to mark that.
