    Opening links in new windows

There is a 'fix' for phpBB, that enables links to automatically open in a new window (like they did with the old board):

Would be nice if that functionality would be re-implemented! :)

Just hover over the link, right click on the mouse and choose 'open link in new tab'

With my Microsoft mouse I just click on a link with the scroll wheel to open a link in a new tab.

Just tried that and it works with my Logitech as well - thanks that has been bugging me since the new board appeared.

Or hold CTRL in most browsers to open link in a new window when you click (key may vary but it's usually CTRL or ALT or APPLE depending on computer/browser). :)

Workarounds are fine, but it would still be more convenient to implement it directly into the forum. It already works with the "Return to Time Factors" link on top of the page. :)

I agree it would be great if this was done again. I know I can open it in a new tab, but if I have 10 more tabs open, it's a faff to find the newly-opened tab, then find the original tab I was on.

It's much better just being able to click on the link, see what it is, close the tab and Firefox takes you back to the original point automatically.

That works but doesn't go to the new tab.

I use Tab Mix Plus that allows remote sites to open in new tabs. Same with IE7 Pro plugin (for IE7).
