Any more details on your lovely old JLC? I’d sooner wear that one more often and just enjoy it. Mind you, are the hands coated with radium?
I picked up the JLC many moons ago and I really like the look of it, but it feels a little too small on the wrist and being old I’m terrified of damaging it so it only gets worn very occasionally. All that rectified with the incoming of this lovey Mappin and Webb campaign watch. It looks huge in this somewhat hastily snapped photo, but actually wears much smaller on the wrist. All in all, a great reinterpretation.

Yes, the JLC, but the Mappin is a lovely watch, top grade movement, croc strap, good lume, solid feel, clear dial. I've a 6.5 inch wrist and it doesn't look too big. I noticed one went for £227 on ebay recently..an absolute bargain.
That JLC is a lovely watch, one of the nicer WWWs from 1945 onwards. Great condition dial and hands for the age of the watch and the radiation glow will keep you toasty warm
Thanks to the replies. I did post an incoming many moons ago on the JLC. I have attempted to link to it below. I hope it works.
