A bit of guesswork is always required, blind luck sometimes plays a part aswell. I've been lucky so far, no failures yet but it will happen.

I've seen comments about it being US spelling from before the NY Times bought it, it's always used US spelling.

I've just made a very siimilar mistake to yours, played after midnight (plus after a bottle of wine, hence why some of my colouring in has gone outside the lines, ahem). Just made it in 5 goes luckily.
