Help identifing a vintage Federal watch

Wondering if anyone can shed some light, information and value on a friend of mines vintage Federal watch that his grandparents left him.

Only details he has which are vague 1920s - 60s (but i think slightly earlier), gold or gold plated.

Some pics here if anyone can help.

    Thanks Brad

Imported case, 9 carat, hallmarked by M Dreyfus and Co, London Assay Office. Possibly between 1917 and 1926.

There are/were quite a few watch companies with the name Federal - I'm not sure how easy it would be to narrow them down.

    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
