Loved Greavsie. Was a bit too young to see him play in his pomp but he was and always will be a Spurs legend.
RIP.

Aww no, really sad to hear that.
RIP Greavsie. I enjoyed watching Saint and Greavsie in it's day.
This made me chuckle, a poorly Greavsie is replaced on a Christmas show by his Spitting Image puppet (great impression).

Goal scoring legend. RIP.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
A very sad day indeed and I know both sets of fans are going to give Greavsie a huge send off in today's game.
As a Chelsea fan since the late 60's he was the only player I regret never having seen play live for the Chels, he ironically made his Chelsea debut against Tottenham at WHL and scored in a 1-1 draw.
An absolute legend.
RiP Greavsie
RIP Greavsie, like loads of people I used to love Saint and Greavsie :-)
Probably England's greatest ever goalscorer, and many of his records still stand (most goals in top flight English football 357, both Spurs and Chelsea's highest single season scorer, Spurs' highest ever scorer, etc.). However his England stats are perhaps the most impressive - 44 goals including a record 6 hat-tricks in just 57 games.
Thanks for the entertainment Jimmy.
Tragic news, one of England's greatest footballers and an absolute legendary TV pundit.
I hope BBC or ITV make a tribute program in his honour, amazing skills.
RIP Jimmy

RIP Jimmy.
You never hear a bad word about him from any football supporters which speaks volumes for the man.
Cheers,
Neil.
So sad. When I was at college I had a part time job at a fuel station as a cashier/attendant. Jimmy was a regular customer of mine. Seemed a regular down to earth nice chap. RIP.
From an era when men were men, a true legend from his time.
RIP Jimmy
I've been a Spurs fan since the early 60s.
Jimmy Greaves was my all time Hero.

Unbelievable talent. Imagine what he’d be worth in today’s market. Always seemed to be a stand-up bloke too.
