Chrono24 -anything to be aware of?

So it seems that there are a selection of Lemania 5100s on Chrono24. Most of them seem to be in Germany.
Anything I should be cautious or aware of for transactions through there?

Not really as long as you pay to the escrow account. You will receive the watch before the seller gets his money so relatively risk free. Do factor in 20% VAT and a £12 to £15 couriers fee at this end if it is coming from our ex chums in the EU.

You could try to ask for them to remove VAT at their end as they as selling outside of the EU. Not always possible as it depends if they have registered.

I’ve bought a watch from Chrono24, it was a private seller and as said pay through escrow and shouldn’t have any problems.

When I got the watch Chrono24 actually called me up to make sure I got it and everyone was okay and as described which I thought was nice touch.

So I would say go for it and I would buy from them again

Watch out for release from escrow when carriers automatically update receipts - you don't get the chance to release the escrow yourself. This got me and I will never use Chrono24 again.

The last one I bought (relatively recently - June) I had to update that it was received satisfactorily in order to release the ESCROW, the courier was DHL

I received a watch from Chrono today, had to confirm delivery in the app and have 7 days to confirm I'm happy with the watch before they release the funds to the seller. Seems like a good system tbf. Have sold on there fairly recently too. The selling fees suck but it seems to offer a fair bit of protection for buyers and sellers
