Rolex GMT, Stick or Rectangle dial.

Sorry about this post if it has been asked previously and not to upset folk but: -

Please enlighten me on the two separate GMT dials?

As I understand, Rolex produced both variants during the 2000's with some stating the stick dials were the more sought after variant, though others stating that the rectangular dial is.

As I understand both these variants were sold in their millions, so is it safe to assume that whichever variant is on sale the seller will want a premium for it?

I am asking as I do not really understand the market of these seemingly rarities.

Please let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks.

    Keith.

From memory but don’t hold me to it, I think the stick dial 3186 movement was the gmt variant people were saying at the time could potentially be collectible in the future..
