Registration Number from VIN

Hi,
I am looking to get the UK registration number from a VIN. I purchased the car, a Mini, in Ireland with an Irish registration, however it had been originally a UK car. There is no documentation of the original UK number.
Are their any repositories where I can get this number and check the cars history?

I think with the issues surrounding GDPR you are not going to be able to find the UK number.

The only place this information is stored besides DVLC is the Police National Computer.

You can run an HPi check with the VIN and that will give you the registration history.
