    That would be hilarious..

10 years ago I did two party walls in my house. Simple to do and very effective. Several panels of Knauf blue-faced sound board (12.5mm), cut to size, lay them on the ground, squirt several tubes of Quiet Glue Pro (like melted down red rubber bands) all over them and lift them up against existing plastered wall. Finish by tape and seam down the joints. Easy.

I’d love to drill through the f wall and whack the f tv
    It’s just thoughtless
    Chavs don’t care
Maybe a visitor with pliers s d a 9 iron when they are on holiday would help
Knowing my luck the insurance would mean a bigger tv

    Done and still noise

Built a separate stud wall with a 75mm gap bought sound proofing plasterboard ,lagged in between and reskimmed and waited -yes the music was a little muffled but a major improvement -until the neighbour ripped his carpets up and the sound came through the floor -couldn’t get a carpet down quick enough after insulating under the floors!
Then Metallica released a new LP
That neighbour played on repeat -admitted defeat and bought a detached house 😜

Pallet has been delivered and I have made a start.

The materials are seriously heavy ...

By way of feedback job is now done, apart from plaster skim.

It’s certainly improved things but the contact noise improvement is limited, ambient noise is much lower.

So I’d say it works but it’s not a night and day difference.

Probably worth doing ... but it’s hard to make before and after assessments.
