Is that 100m/300ft or 1000m/3000ft, Eddie?

Hello, where did this little fella spring from??

Not normally one for Roman numerals but that's very interesting - I particularly like the cut out dots for the hour markers.

If there's text on the dial , could we consider a Panerai-style yellow/cream to match the lume?

    Cheers,

    Guy :)

I think this is the 40mm version, innit?

Not sure about the crown guards. Would prefer it straight and classic....

I should say, I do like that for some reason, and I don't normally like Roman numerals.

    You're sure about that? Hmmmm

    Nother mock-up without CG's....

    Think I'd prefer it white.

Although I am glad to see a move away from sterile dials. I don't like them.

    Movement is...?
I hope its not another of those monsters. If it has an OD of 42mm I ight consider it.
I consider it an improvement by all accounts over the PRS20. Quite classy indeed.

Even so, I prefer to wait for the PRS-32 (PRS-14 V.2).

I actually much prefer the '20.

A PRS-14 V2? When was this mooted? And what are the changes?

I like it and would buy one,im not afraid of telling the time with roman numerals and would love it even more with a californian dial, sizewise the bigger the better :)

I like it with, and without, the crown guard. Great dial layout - beautifully balanced though I'd prefer it with the 'Precista' script :)

    very nice.
'Precista' above the pivot, and the depth below. It will look much more balanced that way, imho.

    Best wishes,

I always liked the PRS-14 and would have bought one if it was thinner (I can live with no anti-magnetic case) and with the 12 instead of the big triangle.

    Re: PRS-30

    I'm thinking for this one:

Water resistant crown but not screw down (rated 100 metres)
    Regular style screw back
24mm lugs on the 42mm with regular springbars and drilled lugs
20mm lugs on the 38mm with regular springbars and drilled lugs

If nobody has any objection to the Seagull "Unitas" (which is highly regarded), then these could both be relatively inexpensive watches.

I prefer the PRS-20 but my fiancee may go for the 38mm, she likes my '20 but it's too big for her [and she likes Roman numerals]

    Looking forward to seeing it.

What if one person has a poor objection? :D

I would hate to see timefactors go down this road. What if timefactors slippery sloped it all the way to chinese cases and movements and assembled in China? Oh well, I'll shut up about this.

FWIW, I like the crown guards and the lugs - but I need a seconds hand.

    Re: PRS-30

Am I allowed to say that I'm a little ambivalent to this design?! The case looks similar to my Millemetri, but for some reason this isn't 'doing it' for me. Is it too shiny? I do like the dial, I like the dial a lot, but definately sans 'Precista' logo as per the first mock-up. I reckon this style of watch needs some kind of modernist logo/typeface and that the Precista logo really doesn't work with it. Plus the watch doesn't feel Precista to me for some unbeknown reason...

Hi everyone, let me introduce myself.

I’m Chris, a 28 year old designer from Yorkshire.

Later this year I’m getting married, honeymooning in Australia via Singapore where I intended to purchase a new watch to commemorate the occasion. I’ve spent months surfing net looking for that special watch, learning more and more daily.

After reading a review about the Dreadnought I got in touch with Eddie to see if he would be interested in making a watch of my own design. My first attempt was a update to Timefactor’s PRS-20 which appears on this thread as the PRS-30. For me the 20 is too close to Panerai’s Radiomir so I set about first addressing the dial, then case, lugs, crown guards and strap creating a watch that has obvious influence of Panerai but is equally unique.

The comments so far have been fantastic and it looks like this watch or at least a tweaked version of could become a reality which would make a fantastic wedding watch for me, whilst saving me a few quid at Singapore airport too. Beauty!
