Something for all the MX5 fans out there.

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Sacrilege, perhaps, but I have to admit that does look like a massive hoot as a toy. Given the plentiful supply of old MX-5s, and tuning parts, it’s a question of how far do you want to go? It looks as though it’s going to weigh nothing so I’d imagine with 150 BHP or so it’s going to get itself up the road (or, more accurately, track) at a decent lick, hopefully with oversteer on demand for lots of slidey action through the twisty bits. Fun.

    Cheers,

Reconnected with an old friend during lockdown, he has a mk3 with 250hp-just for shits and giggles he says- he will be an early visit when lockdown permits, I feel I may be the chaser as my Honda is only 240hp and heavier, still should be a fun day out.

The 158 would make a great trackday toy?

It does look like fun, but is it legal to drive on the road?
