Chicken
Versatile, easy to mass farm, eggs as a by product and I really like a roast chicken.

A local sandwich shop does a roast baguette every lunch time, a different one every day - pork, lamb, beef, turkey and gammon. We get them sometimes and recently discussed - if you could only ever eat one meat again, which one would you pick?
I immediately said beef as I thought of steak and burgers. Then on consideration I went for pork as I thought - pork, bacon, sausages and crackling. Curious as to what others would choose.
I’ve tried to keep it simple - beef, pork, chicken and lamb (as I’m guessing they are the most eaten meats), others (any other meat like duck, partridge, pheasant, snake, goose etc) or I don’t eat meat.
I’m sure someone will question how I do a meat poll without putting in hummingbird, but this is the best I could come up with :-)

Has to be pork, a most versatile meat, ham, sausage, bacon, chops, roast, scratchings, pie.
Edit. I would choose it just for the bacon alone.
[skymanmodeon] Swan of course, you peasants! [/skymanmodeoff]
Beef...... Steaks, burgers, pies, mince, beef sandwiches, oxtail soup, beef bourguignon, spaghetti and meatballs, beef casserole, corned beef, beef wellington.......not necessarily all at once....
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
If we don't choose chicken would we still be allowed eggs? I was torn between beef and lamb until I thought of eggs!
Beef - so many products, though not quite as versatile as pork or chicken, it's my fav.
Oooo that a difficult one...
Lamb is my favourite but pork... mmmmm pork.
This! ^^^
Beef is versatile (what about milk?), Lamb is delicious but Chicken makes sense from a Brexit plague island survival perspective!
Oh, if I’m being wanky then Kudu from South Africa was bloody fantastic!
So in the end I think I have failed to answer your question!

I don't eat chicken but I'm cool with free range eggs.

What a dilemma. I mostly eat chicken but love steak and love bacon. I’d have to go Beef and make more beef curries.
But how could I pass up a 24oz T Bone I rustled up last week.

One meat
Not in my lifetime boyo
Can we still have leather bondage gear if we choose chicken?
Asking for a friend.
Lamb.
Lamb chops, dauphinoise, asparagus is my death row meal.
I was tempted by beef for a short moment due to versatility but why settle for second best.
I could live forever on lamb chops, roast lamb, lamb burgers, hot pot, lamb rump steak, shepherds pie, lamb kebabs and lamb bacon.
I would obviously prefer pork bacon but need to think of the bigger picture.
Mmmmm.... meat.
Not touched it for 2 years and never missed or desired it since, when I was on meat Lamb was succulent and indulgent, Chicken was practical and functional and pork was quick and dirty alla bacon butty

On the basis that it’s a TZ thing to often respond to a thread without reading the OP I have voted “all other meats”.😀
I would happily stick to Venison, Duck, Pheasant, Pigeon, Grouse and Turkey as my “all other meats” choice.
Squirrel.
There can be only one! (BGE included mind)

“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
I remember asking some German colleagues once if they ate swans.
They looked at me as if I was insane, but it doesn't seem any more strange than eating a goose to me.
I guess if could only have one meat I'd choose Chicken, but I'd hate to have to choose.

Outside of the UK eating horse meat doesn't seem any more strange than eating beef, so there you go.
Beef, beef and beef. now can i cut it into strips and pretend it was bacon?
Anyone that doesn't recognize the superiority of lamb needs to see a GP IMHO
Beef is the one thing you can eat, in one form or another, 7 days a week. Just as well as I have had to put two casualty starts in the Freezer in the last two months.
Going to take a while for two of us to eat two bullocks, even with my appetite for meat

Surprised no one has mentioned fish. Everything from Cod, tuna, Turbot, Plaice, etc, through to crab, lobster, scallops, Mussels, etc through to squid, prawns, octopus, through to roe and caviar. So many different tastes, textures and methods of cooking.

Pork for me. Could probably give up everything except a full English (without eggs I suppose).
Good lamb is my absolute favourite meat but I voted for Pork for the variety, and specifically bacon.
As much as I could eat myself to an arterial death on the tasty alternatives, has to be chicken for the clean protein.

I immediately thought of baby Panda veal fillet steaks, but then settled on Beef.
As much as I love a good bacon sandwich 🥪, and lots of different varieties of sausages, beef is a better form of protein, more satisfying to eat, and hugely versatile.
Thankfully I don’t need to limit my meat choices, so I’ll continue to enjoy lots of different meats.
It's just a matter of time...
Beef.
I do love a bit of lamb, duck etc but if it had to be one - beef.
Cheers,
Neil.
Beef but must be grass fed
